Who I am

My name is Chiara Virgilio, and I'm a psychologist and psychotherapist based in London's vibrant Walthamstow neighborhood.

For the past 15 years, I've been passionate about supporting people through challenging times, and I believe that therapy can be both meaningful and engaging. I'm deeply honored to witness my clients' growth and help them find the insights that lead to more fulfilling lives.

I love to bring creativity to my work, using tools like card decks to help you gain new insights and perspectives. I bring a compassionate, enthusiastic, and warm energy to my work.

Just as the snowdrop heralds the coming of spring, I believe therapy can be a place for growth and positive change.

I'm a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My approach

“Until you make your unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it faith.” C. G. Jung

As a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I believe that understanding our unconscious is crucial for personal growth. The unconscious is like an ocean – vast, deep, and often hidden from our conscious awareness. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy provides a way to explore these depths, and the therapeutic relationship becomes a key instrument in this journey. Through careful listening and attention to what emerges between us, we can begin to understand how unconscious patterns might be influencing your life in the present. We'll also pay close attention to your early experiences, recognizing how they may have shaped your current ways of relating and being in the world. Dreams, like messages from the deep, offer symbolic clues to be deciphered. I also use creative tools—cards, dream book, music— as bridges to the unconscious, helping you express what words alone sometimes can't capture. Together, we'll navigate these inner landscapes to create lasting change.
